four of wands tarot card meaning

Tarot Card of the Month: Four of Wands reversed

The four of wands is a card of celebration, socialization, gathering and having an all around good time enjoying the pleasures of life. When reversed this indicates that we may be pulling back from social gatherings, and perhaps even departing from or actively breaking away from a person(s) or event. This card is also often associated with the buying or selling of a new home or property (check out the castle in the background), so in the reversed position it indicates that something doesn’t quite come together as planned. However, this isn’t necessarily a “no”, it can be as simple as a sale that takes longer, failed inspection, etc. On a more intimate note, this card can indicate when we have personal accomplishments and celebrations that may not necessarily warrant a party or singing your praises to the world, but they are important to us nonetheless.

pyromorphite healing crystal meaning

Healing Crystal of the Month: Pyromorphite

Pyromorphite is a great stone for enhancing intuition by strengthening our etheric bodies. As a result, we are able to better be in-tune with our body, digest new and incoming information, trust and follow our gut feelings, and eliminate negative, unhealthy or unwanted energy. This is a wonderful stone for transmuting unhealthy responses to emotions so that we are able to be more objective, respond rather than react, and be more tolerant of when things do not go as planned or people do not act as we had hoped. HOWEVER, do not mistake pyromorphite’s gentle nature with weakness; it will have you objectively cutting out toxic or unhealthy people without hesitation.

What is a ziggurat and what is it used for?

Sacred Symbol of the Month: Ziggurat

The Mesopotamian version of the Mountain of Heaven, the ziggurat served as the meeting places between deities and mortals, and were called the “Gates of the Gods” as they “touched” the dwelling place of the gods in the sky. Later officially named “Temple of the Seven Spheres of the World '' or “House of the Seven Directions of Heaven and Earth”, they referred to the 7 classic planets through which God operates; each plateau on the ziggurat was painted a different color in accordance with its associated planet. Of significance is the ziggurat serving as the means for man’s attempts to ascend to Heaven or God by way of the material, thus serving as the inspiration for the Tower of Babel.

High John the Conqueror root magic meaning

Sacred Herbs & Plants of the Month: High John the Conqueror

This herb is a powerhouse for all things related to wealth, success, passionate and heart felt love, genuine happiness, and psychic self defense, the removing or thwarting of ill intent from another. One of my favorite ways to use it is through an anointing oil used on either myself or on a new designated candle used during my meditation and prayer time (remember that manifestation comes through activity rather than passivity). Good news is that anointing oil is super simple to make!

  1. Rinse the root if dirty and allow to completely air dry

  2. Make cuts into the root or use a grinder to expose the inside material

  3. Place into a small clean jar with a lid (bigger isn’t always better)

  4. Submerge the roots in an oil of your choice (I prefer jojoba, grapeseed, or apricot oil if I plan to or might even possibly use it on myself).

  5. Leave the jar where you will see it daily to give it a good shake (out of direct light sources if possible so the oil doesn't go rancid)

  6. Strain after a few weeks when you feel compelled (different belief systems have different timeframes) and begin anointing!
