The Eight of Cups, Lord of Abandoned Success and Saturn in Pisces, is a card of letting go, moving on, transition, withdrawal, and travel. With the card reversed it indicates indecision, unfinished business, trying one more time, and coming out of hibernation or withdrawal. Interestingly, May 5th 2023 is a Full Moon in Scorpio & Lunar Eclipse, and the Eight of Cups depicts an Eclipse. Eclipses are marked by revelations, endings and releases; however, with this card reversed you may find yourself holding on, giving something another go, or getting social.

Oak is a sacred tree attributed to several deities like Zeus, Thor, Jupiter, Dianus, Hecate, and Pan, and is a symbol of strength, health, healing, power, stability, money, luck, protection, firmness, fertility, longevity, and spiritual ascension. While not often thought of as directly attributed to him, Demigod Hercules’ club was made of oak, making it a symbol of not only physical strength but moral character as well. Among the Greeks and Celts, the oak is a representation of the World Tree, the link between Heaven and Earth. The Celts worshiped their Gods in groves of trees where it was said that an oak had to be present, and interestingly, Abraham received the Divine revelations in an oak grove. One of the most revered oracles of antiquity was a great oak tree growing at Dodona, in north-west Greece.
